NIKE's HYPER ADAPT 1.0

Nike’s Hyper Adapt 1.0 self-lacing shoes will finally go on sale on November 28, but only in select Nike locations in the US, according to a tweet sent by the company’s director of public relations.

Inspired by the self-lacing sneakers worn by Michael J. Fox in Back to The Future II, the sensors in the shoes automatically adjust laces, when you place your foot on the shoe. The shoes also have LED lights attached on the sides, which indicate when the shoes need to be charged. The shoes’ batteries need three hours of charging and should last up to two weeks.

It took Nike 11 years to research and develop the technology.
